Yara International

Yara is the world's leading supplier of plant nutrients of mineral fertilizers, an essential ingredient in modern agriculture. The company has written a frame agreement with Baze Technology with its the first implementation is at the Porsgrunn site in Norway.

The BazePlant implementation at the Yara Porsgrunn site include, in addition to standard PIMS and LIMS elements, components for real-time production reporting and KPI based production follow-up and operation support. Contribution to measure the effects of the KPI implementation and thereby the cost effectiveness and the ROI of the project is also part of Baze Technology delivery.

Key factors about the delivery (after phase 3) are:

• Some 10 system and data source interfaces, mostly OPC based
• Between 10 and 20 laboratory instrument integrations
• Approximately 20 active user roles
• Some 15,000 real-time process values (tags)

The goal of the BazePlant is to embraces all systems in the factory integrate them and make them communicate with each other in a way not possible before to allow completely new work processes that merge people, technology and mobility in a fact based information environment.
