AFP Operations

AFP Operations operates Aker Floating Production's FPSO vessels globally. BazeField is an essential part of their effort to operate in remote locations, with multicultural staff and being able to collaborate for most optimum operations.

AFP Operations (formerly Aker SMART 1Aker Borgestad Operations) was established in July 2006 for the purpose of operating Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSOs) for Aker Floating Production and the oil companies they contract these vessels to. Our first FPSO, the Dhirubhai-1, is contracted to the Indian oil company Reliance Industries Ltd. and operates off the east coast of India.

AFP Operations (AFPO) is owned by Aker Floating Production. The company headquarters are located in Oslo. We pride ourselves on being efficient, flexible and safety conscious. AFPO’s targeted markets are oil fields in the equatorial belt. We believe this is where the future of oil exploration and production lies.

Aker SMART 1Among the qualities that make AFPO outstanding in the field is our use of standardised and modularised technology, as well as our multi-skilled crew. AFPO’s state of the art real-time collaboration system BazeField allows tight cooperation between our onshore and offshore organisations. For our clients, AFPO is an element in an Aker total concept.This provides a one-stop shop, with services from exploration to drilling, subsea systems,
production and processing.
