BazePort, now even on COAX
Baze Technology can now also offer BazePort Infotainment over COAX. Opening possibilities for triple-play delivery on installations and vessel with coax only distribution to cabin and accommodation. The new technology provides up to 100mb/s ethernet to all coax locations aboard.
The BazePort Infotainment System has so far being limited to accommodations that where cabled with CAT5 Ethernet or above. The triple play solution uses only an IP connection for connection to its server.
To retrofit a vessel, rig or platform with Ethernet to cabins, that already has coax cable installed, is time consuming and in many cases expensive. Leaving such installation unsuitable for triple play systems.
Now however Baze can offer ETTH technology that allows IP over coax with speeds up to 100mb/s.
IP over coax solutions aren't new, but has not always had a good reputation as a stable and reliable solution. With its ETTH technology Teleste Corporation has developed a reliable and industry standard built IP over coax solution.
