BazeField up and running in India

Aker Floating Production's FPSO Dhirubhai-1 has commenced production and BazeField is in global operation.

Baze Technology is thrilled to see its first global installation of BazeField in operational use. After months of conversion and preparations in the yards in Singapore the Aker SMART 1, now officially named Dhirubhai-1, has commenced production in the Bay of Bengal offshore India.

BazeField essential for operations

BazeField is quoted important in Aker Floating Production's press release:

"The FPSO, one of the most sophisticated FPSOs in the world, will be operated from the small Norwegian village of Brevik, through a specially designed system for integrated operations.

- Everything that happens on the ship, right down to the opening or closing of the tiniest valve, we can follow as it is happening on our screens in the Operations Room here in Brevik, says Aker Borgestad Operations CEO Gard Madsen. - We see exactly the same data that they have on the ship itself at the same time that they see it, enabling us to provide minute to minute support, he adds." Aker Floating Production says in their press release today.
