Aker has developed the first offshore oil and gas field for Reliance Industries in India.The FPSO Dhirubhai-1 is operated by Aker Borgestad Operations from Brevik in collaboration with staff on board the FPSO. All infomation and process data is available in real time at both locations and collaboration and problem solving is done by voice, video and desktop sharing in BazeField.
The same system has also been adopted by StatoilHydro for operating their wind farms. Currently they operate the Havøygavlen wind farm in a similar fashion between Havøygavlen and Vækerø in Oslo.
