History

It all started in Oil&Gas as CARDIAC

The company was founded in 1991 with the name CARDIAC and started working with real-time systems for gas export in Statoil. This part of Statoil was later transferred into being Gassco and is responsible for all gas exports out of Norway.

Imatis

During the nineties the company realised that in order to be scalable it had to build a middleware solution. The name of this platform was imatis and is installed in all our market segments.

Healthcare

Meeting the strict uptime requirements from Gassco made us eligible as supplier to Telenor's gigantic infrastructure and communications delivery to St. Olavs Hospital in 2003. The first phase was delivered in 2006, on time, on budget. Currently the second phase of the project is on going in 2008. A similar solution is also chosen at Nye Ahus hospital outside Oslo, now being delivered by our sister company Imatis. Imatis has through extensive cooperation with Cisco and HP an international focus.

Pulp and Paper

A plantwide system for fact based operational support and automatic reporting for Norske Skog at Follum was delivered in 2004 where the concept of role and arena dependant information flow was developed. This has subsequently been transferred to new pulp and paper customers as well as being built into the rest of our software portfolio.

On our own

The company grew to approx. 100 employees in 2007 when the board of directors decided to split the company into a health focused company named Imatis, and an industry focused company initially named CARDIAC Industry. This company changed its name in February 2008 to Baze Technology and our products changed name from imatis to product and branch sensitive names BazeMill, BazeField, BazePlant, BazePort and BazeLab.
